CHAPTER 3: Rethinking Projectors
The chapter gave ideas about sharing documentation with children, children get to comment and reflect as a group on their work.
Tina asked the teachers if there’s someone willing to lower her LCD screen so children can have it at their sight level.
Cynthia mentioned that it could be cool to have a mobile projector to be moving around centers in the classroom.
Tina mentioned that tech center has 6 old projectors and some teachers said they would ask tech center to get those projectors.
Cristi shared her experience of the Gruffalo’s project with K11 two years ago and how they used to project children’s work (example of sharing a story using the overhead projector)
Teachers had the idea of creating a library of photographs sorted by themes and shared them with parents
Nursery teachers mentioned that they’ve used the overhead projectors with manipulatives.
Wondering if tech center has a document camera that we can borrow.
We also mentioned the idea that teachers can use the teacher’s lounge to project.
